Isang optical ilusyon (tinatawag din na isang visual ilusyon) ay isang maling pagdama ng katotohanan sa mga na ang paningin pinaghihinalaang mga imahe ay naiiba mula sa totoong mundo ng object. Ang impormasyon na sinusunod ng mata ay naproseso sa utak sa ganoong paraan na ito ay sanhi ng isang viewer upang hindi maunawaan o maintindihan o hindi maunawaan kung ano siya talaga nakikita.
