(1) (n.) A continuous flow of data (especially audio or video) over a transmission channel that can be interpreted as it is received, often for playback in real time. In audio, the packet boundaries used for encoding in a particular audio format may not coincide with transmission packet boundaries. (2) (v.) To send data as a stream.
