Ouroboros
A symbol of a snake curled around in a circle and biting its own tail. It is originally ancient Egyptian iconography but also appears in a similar form in Hinduism and African religions. It is symbology for the ideas of cyclicity and particular reincarnation and eternal life.
It has also frequently been found in alchemical texts, where it carries the meaning of duality within life.
