Automatic Braking Differential
The Automatic Braking Differential (ABD) system was co-developed by Bosch and Porsche in an effort to counteract unnecessary wheel spin by one of the driving wheels. In short, ABD is an electronic locking differential that employs the brakes and inputs from the Anti-lock Braking System sensors to replicate "the lock" of one of the wheels in case of hard acceleration or during a high-speed maneuver.
