Ad hoc
Ad hoc is 'n Latynse frase wat "vir hierdie" beteken. 'n Oplossing vir 'n spesifieke probleem of taak wat nie vir ander doeleindes bedoel is nie.
In ander velde mag die term verwys na, byvoorbeeld, 'n militêre eenheid wat onder spesiale omstandighede saamgestel is, 'n pasgemaakte pak klere, 'n handgemaakte netwerk protokol, of ' n doel-spesifieke vergelyking.
Ad hoc kan ook tydelike oplossings, veranderlike inhoud om nuwe betekenis te skep, onvolledige beplanning, of geïmproviseerde gebeure beteken.
