Madrid Polytechnic University
Madrid Polytechnic University (UPM) was founded in 1970 in Madrid (Spain) and it counts with different Technical Schools of Engineering and Architecture. It has around 35,000 students.
According to the annual university ranking conducted by El Mundo (Spanish newspaper) Polytechnic University of Madrid ranks as the top technical universities in Spain and second overall. Most of its Engineering Schools are usually ranked as leading academic institutions in Spain in their fields, and among the very best in Europe. It is also a member of the TIME network (a group of fifty engineering schools throughout Europe).
About its campuses, they are not all together in a determinate area; they are spread all over Madrid. The UPM has signed 87 specific double degree agreements with centres of excellence at a number of worldwide Universities.
