Операција којом се уклањају дебело црево и унутрашњост ректума. Спољни мишићи ректума се не уклањају. Доњи крај танког црева (илеума) извлачи се кроз преостали део ректума и спаја са анусом, омогућавајући нормалан пролаз столице.
