brainstorming

Brainstorming means brainstorming and brainstorming . It's an English expression formed by the combination of the words "brain " , which means brain, intellect and "storm " which means storm.

Brainstorming is a method created in the United States , the advertising Alex Osborn , used to test and explore the creative capacity of individuals or groups, mainly in the areas of human relations , group dynamics and advertising and marketing .

The brainstorming technique proposes that a group of people come together and use their thoughts and ideas so that they can reach a common denominator in order to generate innovative ideas that lead a particular project forward. It's a tool for team work which is used to generate ideas freely in a short period of time from a group of people. The most important rule is to avoid any kind of criticism during the production of ideas. No idea should be dismissed or judged as wrong or absurd, all must be the compilation and annotation of all the ideas that occur in the process and, then, move to the final solution.

For a brainstorming session should be followed some basic rules: it is forbidden to debate and criticism of the ideas presented, they cause inhibitions, the more ideas better, no idea should be neglected, ie, people have total freedom to talk about whatever they want, for the good progress, should be modified to restate an idea or combination of ideas that have been presented and, finally, equal opportunity - everyone should have a chance to explore their ideas.
